How to Place a Custom Order

At UY Collection, customization is designed around your requirements while keeping the process clear from the first conversation to final dispatch.

You don't need to decide upfront whether a piece is custom or off-the-rack — browse and order the way that feels natural, and our team will reach out afterward to confirm whether you'd like it as shown or customized to your measurements.

Whether you want a different colour, adjusted measurements, changes to specific design details or a more personalized version of a selected outfit, our team first reviews what can realistically be customized for that particular product.

Customization availability depends on the original design, fabric, embellishment, production method and availability of materials. Not every product can be customized in the same way.

Step 1: Choose Your Outfit

Start by selecting a product from UY Collection that you would like to customize.

You can contact our team directly if you want to discuss a particular outfit before placing your order. You can tell us what you would like to change, including colour preferences, measurements, length, fitting requirements or other design details.

If you already have a specific idea in mind, you can also share your requirements with our team so we can determine whether the requested customization is possible.

Step 2: Discuss Your Customization

Once we understand what you are looking for, our team reviews the product and your requested changes.

We discuss the available options with you before production begins. This may include colour selection, fabric availability, measurements, fitting requirements, design adjustments and other product specific details.

For more detailed customization requests, we may require reference images, measurements or additional information before confirming the order.

The final customization, price and estimated completion timeline are confirmed before we begin.

Step 3: Confirm Your Order

Once the customization details have been agreed, we confirm the final order with you.

This is where we establish exactly what is being made, the agreed customization requirements, measurements, final price and estimated completion timeline.

For customized orders, a 60% advance payment is required to begin the order.

Production or customization does not start until the required advance has been received and the order details have been confirmed.

Step 4: Measurements and Fitting

For customized sizing, we guide you through the measurement information required for your order.

Depending on the product, we may request specific body measurements or sizing information to help achieve the desired fit.

Customers should provide measurements carefully and accurately. Our team can guide you through the required measurements and explain how they should be taken.

Where a fitting adjustment is possible during production, the applicable requirements will be discussed with the customer before the order proceeds.

Step 5: Customization and Production

Once the order has been confirmed and the 60% advance payment has been received, our production process begins.

The selected outfit is prepared according to the confirmed requirements.

Depending on the product, this may involve fabric preparation, colour work, stitching, embroidery, embellishment, finishing, alterations or other customization work.

Production time varies according to the complexity of the order, availability of materials and the level of customization required.

Customized pieces are not treated like standard ready stock because they require additional preparation and production according to the customer's requirements.

Step 6: Progress Updates

We believe customers should know what is happening with their order.

For applicable customized orders, our team remains in communication with the customer throughout the process and provides relevant updates as the outfit progresses.

If an important production decision requires customer confirmation, we contact the customer before proceeding.

This gives you visibility throughout the process rather than waiting until the finished outfit is ready.

Step 7: Final Completion and Review

Once the customized outfit has been completed, it goes through a final review before dispatch.

We check the completed order against the confirmed product details and customization requirements.

The remaining 40% payment is then due once the customized order has been completed and is ready for final dispatch.

After the remaining payment has been received, the order proceeds to packaging and shipping.

Step 8: Packaging and Dispatch

Once the order is complete and the final payment has been received, your outfit is prepared for dispatch and shipped internationally, with tracking provided when available. See our Shipping & Delivery page for courier and delivery details.
